Here I Am, Lord~

It is such a gorgeous South Florida day; praise Him!

All week we have been talking about asking God for success and being purposeful in our requests by providing God with a specific target. Today I want to take a moment to ask you if you are willing to follow the fine example of Isaiah.

Isaiah 6:8
"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!'"

That verse had to do with God looking for someone willing to take a message to His people to change their ways, but the principle remains the same: God is looking for a person who is willing. And take a look at the exclamation point at the end of Isaiah's response. He was eager to do it.

God is still speaking to us today, people, through His beautiful Word. There is a need for prayer. Our families need it, our friends need it, we need it. Whom shall storm the gates of heaven and provide God with a bull's eye today?

All together now, "Here we are, Lord! We will!"

Isn't that lovely? It's like there is an escalator full of chilly willies running up and down my spine as I write this. "HERE I AM, LORD!"

Sometimes the only time someone is praying for your kids is when you do it. Sometimes the only time someone is praying for your spouse is when you do it. And sometimes the only one praying for you is you. Those are sobering thoughts.

We have a choice today. Let us choose wisely.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, Thank You that the Bible teaches that the prayers of one person can make a monumental difference. A specific request offered unto You gives You something to work with. Having a BREAKDOWN is not an option! We ask You to strengthen us until we see a BREAKTHROUGH. In Jesus' name, AMEN~
